Taking proper care of your candles ensures a longer, safer, and more enjoyable burn. Follow these simple tips to get the most out of your candle:
Trim Your Wicks
Always trim your wick to about ¼ inch before each burn. This helps prevent the flame from becoming too large, which can lead to uneven burning or excess soot. A properly trimmed wick ensures a clean, controlled flame and a longer-lasting candle.
Burn Time
Burn for the Right Amount of Time For the best results, allow your candle to burn long enough for the entire surface to melt evenly, especially during the first use. This prevents tunneling and ensures you enjoy the full fragrance of your candle. As a rule, burn for 2-4 hours at a time and always allow the wax to fully cool before relighting.
Candle Safety
Keep Your Candle Safe Place your candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, flammable materials, and out of reach of children and pets. Always burn candles within sight and extinguish them if you leave the room. Never burn a candle all the way to the bottom—leave about ½ inch of wax to prevent overheating the container.
